About Trimite Glaze
A clear glossy heat curing solvent based acrylic glaze which provides a tough mar resistant finish with good resistance to yellowing.

Used by ceramic restorers for many years as it was an easier product to obtain and cheaper alternative to Chintex. Not quite as hard wearing or as clear and non yellowing as Chintex.

The manufacturers recommend this glaze is stoved at 120 degrees for 30 minutes but our tests have shown a temperature of approximately 105 degrees for 1 hour will cure the glaze.

Compared to Chintex this product has a relatively short shelf life. It may thicken or coagulate after 6-8 months even if stored in unopened tins .

Silicon dioxide powder chemically treated to create highly hydrophobic material. Its structure, low density, and particle size produce effective matting performance through light scattering on the surface of a glaze.

Easily mixed into any of our glazes to produce a slight sheen to a dead matt finish.

Matting agent is a very lightweight powder; 25grams will be enough to matt approximately 500ml of glaze
