Intended for taking impressions to mould missing parts in ceramic restoration using Milliput or Magic Sculp but we also sell lots of this silicone to cake decorators, Fimo modellers PMC'ers etc. Two part silicone moulding putty for taking impressions and making single or multi-part moulds. This putty is classed as a hard putty (Shore A 90) this has the advantage of not distorting when being filled with highly viscous filling materials. The putty is slightly flexible and is best used where there is little or no undercut. If you are looking for softer highly flexible putty we suggest you try our Maxi-Flex Putty (see our other listings) Silicone Moulding Putty consists of two parts, a blue coloured base putty and a grey coloured catalyst putty. The two putties are mixed in equal proportions with a hand mix time of 30 seconds. The total working time is one minute with a set time of 6 minutes. Scoop out equal quantities from each container. Fold material and knead with fingertips for 30 seconds until a homogeneous mixture is produced. Intensive mixing and high temperatures will speed up the setting. Low temperatures will slow down the setting. Immediately after mixing the putty is pressed onto the area to be moulded. At room temperature the putty will set in around 15 minutes, it can then removed from the object and used immediately.
